Big 12 Bowl Matchups

These are all pretty good:

GATOR BOWL-Clemson vs. Nebraska
COTTON BOWL- Ole Miss vs. Texas Tech
FIESTA BOWL- Ohio State vs. Texas
BCS NATIONAL CHAMIONSHIP- Florida vs. Oklahoma

The Alamo and Holiday promise to be shootouts. Maybe the Cotton as well.

Oklahoma 62 Missouri 21

I think Bob Stoops must be playing this stretch of the season on a PS3. 60+ Points in 5 Straight Games? That is only seen on a video game. Oklahoma staked its claim for a spot in the BCS Title game against most likely Florida, who beat #1 Alabama 31-20 in the SEC Title game.

I was very impressed with Tim Tebow today. I have not had the chance to watch him extensively. He is very tough, but he can make some very good throws too. I think Sam Bradford may be more of the pro-style quarterback, but Tebow will play in the NFL. He is so dang tough, even if he doesn't play QB, I can see him as a tight end.

For the Heisman, I think Tebow wins again. Colt McCoy seems to have the national media's vote, Tebow is the popular incumbant, and Sam Bradford has the numbers.

We'll find out tomorrow about the bowl breakdown.

Oklahoma 61 Oklahoma State 41

The Oklahoma Sooners made a statement, going on the road and defeating 12th ranked Oklahoma State 61-41. The Oklahoma offense was scarily efficient as always. Sam Bradford may have moved himself to the front of the Heisman Trophy race.

On Sunday, the Sooners learned that they had passed Texas in the BCS standings, setting up a showdown on Saturday with Missouri in the Big 12 Title game. OU will be looking to avoid the same fate as 2003, when a Kansas State team that was a heavy underdog, destroyed the Sooners on a cold, Kansas City night.

It's pretty simple. If Oklahoma wins, they play the Florida-Alabama winner in Miami for the National Championship.

But, when is college football ever that simple.
